Dr. Christopher Ray, M.D
Dr. Christopher Rays inspiration going into medicine was his mother, Linda Ray. Her commitment and dedication to patients and medicine provided Dr. Ray with a clear path for his future. Dr. Ray graduated with Honors in 1996 from Texas Southern University. After completing his residency at the University of Texas in Houston, Dr. Ray moved to Phoenix, AZ to join a private practice and within two years became the President of Desert Canyon Medical Associates and led a 10-physician group that worked at two hospitals and one surgery center. Dr. Ray is proud to be with pain stop clinics treating and helping all patients seek a pain free life.
Dr. Jason Conway: Chiropractor & Gilbert Clinic Director
Dr. Conway is the clinic director of Pain Stop – Gilbert. Dr. Conway graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2000. He has been practicing in Arizona for over 20 years. He is experienced in the integrated medical model, incorporating chiropractic care with medical procedures. Dr. Conway is proud to be part of the Pain Stop model. A model that manages patient’s pain without the use of narcotics (opioids). His hobbies include working out and playing racquetball competitively. He has won numerous national and state titles at the highest level. Dr. Conway’s goal is to go above and beyond and provide the best possible care to each and every patient.
Dr. David Carlyon: Chiropractor & Mesa Clinic Director
Dr. Carlyon is a 2016 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and originally hails from Rocklin, California. He has worked in a variety of different medical clinics and appreciates the philosophy and approach that Pain Stop achieves by being a fully integrated medical clinic. He appreciates Pain Stop can get to the root of the issue. Although Dr. Carlyon is a newbie to Arizona he has already fallen in love with the area and particularly the hiking and nature walks. He resides in Gilbert with his wife and a loving Goldendoodle puppy. Dr. Carlyon loves working out, football, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Jesse Fox: Chiropractor & Maryvale Clinic Director
Dr. Fox was the part owner of a family chiropractic clinic in Cardston, Alberta, he also is the part owner of a Personal Injury clinic in Tempe and loves helping patients who have been involved in traumatic events such as car accidents or workplace injuries. In 2018 he accepted a position as Clinic Director for Pain Stop Maryvale as he loved the philosophy of working in a fully medically integrated practice. Outside of working in the clinic, Dr Fox loves hockey, football, weight lifting, playing guitar and spending time in the outdoors with his wife and 3 children.
Dr. Pierce Waychoff: Chiropractor & North Phoenix Clinic Director
Pierce Waychoff, DC is the Clinic Director and Owner of Pain Stop-North Phoenix. He graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Iowa, where he also met his wife Dr. Erin Waychoff, DC. He loves being a part of Pain Stop Clinics because early on he learned that sometimes people require many “tools” to aid them with their healing process. Once he started treating patients as a whole with the Pain Stop Clinics integrated approach to pain management, Pierce quickly noticed the dramatic difference in positive healing with regards to his patient’s pain concerns. He truly finds it amazing to watch his patients as they progress through their healing journey, coming to the Clinic in agony and within a few short weeks, being able to do things that they never thought they would be able to do again.
Dr. Thomas Hulm: Chiropractor & South Scottsdale Clinic Director
Dr. Hulm was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. He received his Bachelor in Human Biology and completed his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. He is excited to join the Pain Stop team where he can practice in a fully medically integrative clinic to help patients get back to enjoying life pain free.
Dr. Jason Buchkowski: Chiropractor & Uptown Clinic Director
Dr. Jason Buchkowski is the clinic director of Pain Stop – Uptown. Dr. Jason graduated with honors from Life Chiropractic College in 1994. He has been treating and managing pain for more than 26 years. Dr. Jason has been with Pain Stop Clinics for more than 4 years now and loves Pain Stop because it focuses on a multi-medical disciplinary approach without prescribing opioids. His hobbies include camping, riding his motorcycle, and hanging around the family on a beautiful day.
Dr. Jessica Turner: Chiropractor & Metro Clinic Director
Dr. Jessica Turner was born and raised just outside of St. Louis, MO. She originally went to college for business and marketing, but after realizing that wasn’t her true passion, she decided to return to school for chiropractic. She was trained in the Biofreeze Clinic at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO and specialized in Sports and Rehabilitation.
Upon graduating in 2013, she fell in love with Phoenix, AZ and moved here soon after to begin her career as a chiropractor. Practicing here since 2014, she enjoys treating patients from all walks of life.
In her free time, she can be found outdoors hiking, at the gym working out, cooking and spending time with friends and family. The thing she misses most about Missouri is being able to watch the St. Louis Cardinals play at Busch Stadium, as she is a lifetime hometown baseball and hockey fan.

Angus Smalls-Walker, FNP: Gilbert, Maryvale, & Metro
Angus has spent the last 4 years working solely in pain management in the great state of Arizona as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). He has an extensive history in participating in physical sports and continues to have an active lifestyle in which pain is no stranger to him. He has a passion for treating patients in pain management so they can continue their best quality of life. Pain can negatively impact an individual’s life, alter family dynamics, impact careers, and decrease quality of life. It has been Angus’ goal to help diminish suffering for his patients from pain and improve their quality of life. Angus started his medical career in 2012 after acquiring a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from one of the top nursing schools in the nation from Tarleton State University. Shortly after, he was offered an opportunity to work in a carefully selected Emergency Department (ED) internship at the level 1 trauma center Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. It was at this moment that he desired to educate his patients by providing more personalized care and pursued a Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Partitioning. He finished his Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in 2017 with focus on all lifespan patients. When Angus is not educating, performing best practice procedures, and talking about wrist watches with his patients, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, attending church, and training for combat sports.
Mannal Abdalla, FNP: North Phoenix
Mannal Abdalla was born in Michigan, and lived in Texas and in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Chamberlain University with a Master of Science in Nursing, has practiced Family Practice, Urgent Care, Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management. She believes that treating each individual patient with respect and personalized care is the utmost priority. She has in the past, and is currently, manages Outpatient Surgery Center as the Chief Nursing Officer. Mannal has lectured and conducted continuing education on pharmaceuticals, pain procedures and surgical procedures for primary care providers. She also is a Surgical First Assist for Orthopedic, Spine, General, both minimally invasive and Pain Management procedures.
In her spare time, Mannal enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys good food, traveling, and DIY projects. She has also been involved with multiple charities and is a Board member at her church.
Daniel Miller, PA: Uptown, South Scottsdale, & Surprise
Daniel started off his medical career first while learning about anatomy and kinesiology in his undergraduate studies. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Saginaw State Valley State University in Michigan in 1996. His primary work after that included neurorehabilitation with post-stroke and traumatic brain injury patients, orthopedic post-operative care following surgery, hand therapy, behavioral health, and home health for housebound patients.
After scrubbing in and observing a total knee replacement surgery, Daniel was inspired and motivated to further advance his studies. He obtained his Master’s of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale in 2010. He then worked for a busy hand and plastic surgery practice which involved being on call at most of the major Phoenix-area hospital networks. His next job was for a large orthopedic surgery group, assisting in spinal surgery and working with interventional pain management specialists. This experience provided a strong background to his current role at Pain Stop, where he has worked since 2016. Daniel values working with an interdisciplinary team and providing compassionate care to his patients.
